Your Role

As an Operations Officer with the Private Equity team, you are responsible for the accurate and timely administration of FMO’s equity investments. This includes translating private equity contracts into the administrative systems, managing all payments relating to the investments and ensuring the administration remains up to date during the lifetime of all investments, including their exit. The Private Equity portfolio consists of investments of around EUR 3.1 billion globally. All these investments are managed centrally from FMO’s office in The Hague. FMO invests to make impact in developing markets which means that contracts can be complex and non-standard. This translates to a need for punctual, risk-aware, critical people to deal with the administration of these transactions. In this role, you will support the multi-disciplinary investment teams offering operational advice and provide the linkage between private equity, finance, and other departments.

Your Background

• You hold a bachelor’s or master's degree with a clear interest in finance, banking, or administration.
• You have a couple of years of working experience showing that you are qualified to take responsibility independently.
• You are eager to learn and keen to develop yourself.
• You are good with numbers, and you can read and understand investment documentation.
• You are risk aware and capable to work on several assignments at the same time.
• As a person you are communicative, you have an eye for detail, you work to provide a high level of service to internal and external stakeholders, and you continuously want to improve the quality of your work as well as that of others.
• As a colleague you focus on collaboration, sharing of information and feedback, and having fun with other colleagues. You want to take the responsibility to finalize tasks, and you are not hesitant to speak up when that is needed.
